Giving Back 2010-04-29 This month Docview has given a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). This donation was made for Officer Jason Recio of the Coral Gables Florida Police Department. Our gift helps WWP to fulfill its mission and honor and empower wounded warriors and provide assistance and programs to the injured servicemen and women who continue to go to extreme lengths to defend our freedom.

"Jason Recio's medical records show he is 100 percent disabled, but he's showing his true heroism by continuing in his line of work as a police officer. After serving in Iraq, Recio questioned if he would ever be able to fulfill his dream of wearing the badge. He lost portions of both of his legs when his convoy was attacked back in 2003. Doctors told him he would never walk again but he not only defied the odds, he surpassed them. Jason is a full time Coral Gables police officer. Recio's accomplishments are not only extraordinary, but they are also groundbreaking. he is the first and only 100 percent disableed war vet to ever be sworn in as a police officer."
